Wayne Hill in conjunction with Hank Molt Reptiles announces the First International Daytona Venomous Expo to be held in conjunction with the National Reptile Breeder's Expo in Daytona Beach, FL August 15, 16 & 17, 2003 at the Ocean Center in Daytona.
We have secured the Peabody Auditorium for the Venomous Expo in Daytona this year. This is a very nice, large, recently re-modeled facility owned by the City of Daytona Beach AND IT IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the Main Expo at the Ocean Center. For those of you who know the Expo, it is the large auditorium on the SW corner of the street by the Ocean Center. Visitors can simply walk across the street.
The Venomous Expo will open on Friday 15 August at 5:00 pm and run until 10:00 pm. On Saturday the Venomous Expo will open at 4:00 pm, one hour before the Main Expo closes. This way there will be no negative interference between the two venues.
There will be on display & for sale some extremely rare & first time venomous species that have never been seen alive before by most USA collectors.
We have secured Dirty Harry's Tavern - a famous biker's bar - with an outside patio, one block from the Expo as the official watering hole of the Expo. We will have lots of late night fun, music and cash prize contests there: AND, you can party hardy and walk safely one block to your hotel.
The dates are Friday & Saturday August 15 &16, 2003 in conjunction with the Main Expo. Admission to the Venomous Expo is only $ 5.00 and is limited to persons 18 and older. The show will open Friday night at 5:00 PM and close at 10:00 PM. Same hours on Saturday - 4 to 10. On Sunday it will be close out day; for specimen pick up only > hours 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. All specimens must be cleared out by 7:00 pm - no exceptions. These hours will not interfere with the main Expo and there will only be a one hour overlap on Sat & Sun. Numerous announcements will be made in the main Expo advising the hours and location and special features of the venomous expo.
This year marks the 14th year of the Expo!!! This successful show is the largest reptile meeting in the world. Now we are going to put on a world class venomous show.
We need QUALITY VENOMOUS vendors.
Tables are limited so please let us know if you are interested ASAP. Tables are only $ 150. each with a $10 add-on for an additional person. We are strongly promoting this event. We have well known corporate sponsors lined up. We will have a full page ad in Reptiles Magazine ® We have many ads on kingsnake.com ® We will have foreign venomous breeders in attendance. We have been promoting this show with flyers at other herp shows all year. We are working very hard to make this a big success and an annual event.
