Snakebites In The New Millennium
Event Type:
Symposium
Description:
This is a state-of-the-art international symposium on native and non-native venomous snakes, epidemiology, snakebite clinical management, venom and antivenom research & development, cladistics, collections management, institutional and national preparedness and response systems, and more. Speakers include David Warrell, speaking on snakebites in Tropical countries, Bryan Grieg Fry, on venom analysis and cladistics, Richard Dart on controversies in crotaline treatment with CroFab, and Leslie Boyer on the new, on-line Antivenom Index, just to name a few. We've also planned an optional field trip with Dan Fogel and Dennis Ferraro to observe hibernating Nebraska rattlesnakes, a Gala dinner and a behind-the-scenes tour at the Henry Doorly Zoo, and more. See the web site for additional details.
