Just a quick reminder, the next Tri-State Herpetological Society meeting will be Tuesday March 3, 2009---700pm (eastern time) at pappy's BBQ in Wildwood, GA. All details are available at the site. www.TriStateHerp.com (Directions: From I 24 (east or west) take exit 169 and turn right. Follow GA Highway 299 for about 1 mile, Pappy's will be on the left)
Guest speaker will be Dr Robert Bloome of the Lookout Mtn Wild Animal Park. www.LMWAP.org They will be accepting applications for volunteers for the zoo at the meeting. Anyone interested in volunteering at the zoo may also contact the LMWAP volunteer coordinator, Christy Slayton, at christy30@windstream.net
Door prizes will be sponsored by: Get Tanked Pets in Rossville, GA (www.gettankedpets.com) and Reptile Addicts in Scottsboro, AL. (www.pet-addicts.com) Lets all try to support these guys as much as we can.
The forum, added by Frank Glover, is now linked to the main page. Everyone that can, try to sign on and frequent the forum. lets support it as much as we can. Everyone be sure to tell Frank thank you for his efforts at the next meeting.
The East TN Herp Soceity has announcted there first meeting. It will be March 17, 2009 at 700pm. All that can, try to attend and help them get started on the right foot. More info can be found at http://easttnherps.com/yak/index.php?topic=460.new#new
As always, try to forward this on to anyone you know in the area that is interested in reptiles. Try to remind others that do not use the Internet or check their mail often. Call them or see them in person. I was very pleased with the turn out at the last meeting, but lets try to increase it for this one.
