Coastal Carpets are the most commonly kept and bred carpet python species. Being a large , beautifully marked animal they make a spectacular captive. Well suited to captivity by being easy to feed and maintain and if handled from an early age they are also a fairly docile pet. The most important things are cage hygiene and a good supply of food and fresh water.
