I have begun to build wooden cages specifically designed for venomous. I have general sizes I am building, the different sizes are an approximate 24by24by24, 48by24by24, and 60by24by24. The cages themselves are constructed from a 3/4 inch wood. They feature a sturdy dual locking lid with double layers of hardware mesh. They are also stained with an eye appealing polyurithane finish. They make wonderful display cages, and were designed with venomous as a top priority.
