Official Reptile Log - Free
Hey Guys,
I made this snake log for my fellow private
hobbyist and keepers to help them keep
better records of their animals and because
all of the other ones I have seen on the
internet suck. On the last few pages there is
a page of codes so you can enter the
appropriate code on your daily log to better
keep track of your animals. There is also a
place for you to record the current and
previous owners of the animals and a place
for a notary to notarize the records so that
you can certify that the records are accurate
before each transfer. A picture of the actual
animal [s] is to be placed on the cover
sheet. In the description section on page 2
you can check all the phenotypical
characteristic that apply. Page 7 is made to
be printed out on the back of page 3, and
you print out as many of those pages as
you want to so that you have enough to
document the reptiles entire life. I have
twenty five of those pages in between in
between the cover page and the last page.
Page 7 goes on the back of page 3 so that
if you put down a troubling code you can
give a brief description of the incident on
the back of the page. I am aware that there
is also plenty of online software for snake
record keeping. However, these records are
easily changeable and falsifiable and are
not permanently recorded in ink. Nor can
they be notarized. Therefore, they cannot
and should not be trusted. If seriousness
and credibility matters to you as it does to
many professional breeders in this hobby
then it is best to keep physical paper
records on file for your animals that are
easily transferable and have the ability to be
legally transferred. I hate when I spend
$4,000.00 on a snake and the only record I
get is a bunch of shit written on an index
card that is barely legible and vague. I
would like to see these records become the
gold standard in record keeping because I
think they will document a lot of important
things that most people would like to
analyze before they buy a snake. I spent a
lot of time psychotically researching most of
the relevant and significant things of interest
that you will need to document. Therefore, if
you do not know much or are new to the
hobby this document will help you
familiarize yourself with some of the
important things that you should look for
and be aware of.
I keep a copy of this document along with
the NY State DEC permit that I got last year
and a copy of my bite kit protocols.
Remember to order and buy your bite kit
protocols so that you don't get yourself
killed like a moron and ruin it for the rest of
us ! You can get them from the Florida
snake bit institute for $5.00 so get them ! If
you got any questions email me and
remember: be professional .
If you have any suggestions on how to
make the document better or any problems
printing please email me your ideas at
kaouthiakeeper@gmail.com so that I can
update it online for others.
