Chris I knew from reading your profile that you were a Paramedic and that alone is impressive, but this article blew me away. You and I assume all paramedics are far more knowlegable than I imagined. Thanks for a very valuable posting of information.

Thank you so much for a very informative article.
I suffer from an allergic reaction towards the evaporated venom of Mozambique Spitting cobras (Naja mossambica). Whenever I work with these animals, I develop a severe migraine, which is sometimes accompanied by nausea (actual vomiting taking place). I've never been bitten by these specific animals or any other venomous snakes before and have only worked with the Mozambique spitters for 1 year now. I do wear a mask, goggles and gloves when working with them.

Shamefully, I didn't know at all about this risk. from now on I shall be more cautious. Is it the same degree dangerous with snakes with mild venom, such as Telescopus Fallax?
