Has anyone here been to Malaysia. I want to go to the swampy lowlands and mangroves in Peninsular Malaysia along the east coast. Probably in the Pahang River area.

another place in Malaysia im interested in is The Sarawak and Sabah region. You can get the best of both worlds. Tropical rainforests and swampy lowlands. If anybody has more info on this area, I would be happy to here from you.

yes i would love to go to malaysia , i know about most of the reptiles and amphibians in these areas is there any your interested in particular ? , theres alot of amphibians and reptiles there as you must know . any snake you want to know about JUST say.

thats cool i like them all aswell.crocodylus porosus and tomistoma schlegeli are the crocs found in malaysia, as for turtle they have .batagar baska , callagur borneoensis , cuora amboinensis , cyclemys dentata, heosemys grandis and spinosa , malayemys subtrijuga, notochelys platynota , orlitia borneensis , sienbenrockiella crassicolis. indotestudo elongata , manouria emys and impressa , amyda cartiliginea , dogania subplama, pelochelys cantorii , and pelodiscus sinensis.
as for tree vipers
malayan viper , mountin viper, borneon viper, hagans pit viper, popes pit viper, mangrove pit viper, sumatran viper and waglers viper.
plus many other snakes reptiles and amphibians i would love to go there . this is out of my memory what i have learned about malaysia but i m sure i m right.

Sounds extremely cool. I`d love to visit that place to. Gotta love those Trimeresurus and Tropidolemus...

yeah, Trimeresurus is definetly among my favorite reptiles. Oh yeah paleoherp, what species of Monitor Lizards live there.

oh sorry i forgot about them :
dumeril monitors, (varanus dumerilii)
clouded monitors,(varanus nebulosus.)
rough necked monitors,( varanus rudicollis.)
water monitors, (varanus salvator).
thats cool bet ya can t wait to go there if you go good luck that place crawls with reptiles.
