Early mornings when the animals are still cool. Look under loose bark, tin, wood, and other assorted ground cover.

Try a Fly rod with a small noose at the end....slip it over the head then twitch the tip of the rod...works almost all of the time. No harm done to the skink/lizard.

when warm they are to fast to catch by hand. a slip noose of thread, fishline or copper wire can be used to snare them. use no. 50 thread for lizards up toabout 4-5 inches in length snout to vent and no. 8 thread or fishline for larger species . it should be tied to the notched end of a slender stick or through the last rung of a telescopic fishing rod to prevent its pulling of, theres loads of ways to catch them if you are on msn messanger then my e mail address is natrix36@hotmail.com.
