I am a big fan of steve irwin. I do not care for Austin because he is very rough with the animals. I think steve should stay on the air. Almost everyone has heard of him and he has brought a lot to the conservation of all wildlife. Austin is just doing to show off. I think he is a jackass. He does not even give correct facts. On the episode where he is in australia catching perentes he made the lizard look a lot meaner than the are. They almost never bite. They only tail whip you. One thing steve has done is saved hundreds of crocs from certain death. Austin hasn't done crap.

Perentys want hesitate to bite. They arent aggressive at all, and you would have to basically chase it down and when it is finally out of breath and it stops, thats when it gets defensive. But the do tail whip and wont hesitate to bite either.

Guys, i think its time that us older handlers and keepers start trying to teach the younger guys that free handing any venomous reptile no mater how placed they seem is very dangerous, and should be avoided at all cost. I myself have only been catching and handling hots for 6-7 years now, but i take evry chance i get to tell guys/galse that want to start catching or keeping to plzzzzzzz not free hand. I know that i dont have the expeariance that Jim, and others do, but i do try to teach younger keepers to be careful and not to falow the lead of some of the TV herpers. I hope that by trying to do that we can save some young herpers from geting hurt. Im not trying to be a Dad or Mom by any means, but i do want to incurage younger keepers and begeners to read and learn from more expearenced handlers as much as posable.... just my 2 sence.....happy herping Wally
