My juvi male puff hasn't defecated in a little over 2 weeks...this is long for him. I've tried soaking him in lukewarm water daily, with no results yet. He eats water soaked fuzzies every 5-7 days. Temps are 81-85 daily, 75 at night. Humidity around 60 %. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

2 weeks without defecation is no cause for concern in Bitis arietans. While neonates tend to defecate every week, subadults, adults, and even juveniles can go weeks without passing any feces. I have actually observed defecation cycles of 8 weeks and more in my animals, and never had any problems. As long as the housing conditions are ideal, which they appear to be, and the animal is healthy and well hydrated, there is no need for concern.
Hope this helps.
