Hi westbushviper, the lancaster show is that in the UK?thats where I live, not the best country for herping.I'm having a garage constructed at the moment and my leader(ooops my wife) has given me permission to use it for viv's.I dont have any hots as yet due to my kids only being 3&5yrs old, toooo risky.Sooner or later I'll apply for a liecence. The book in my opinion is worth buying,Ive just ordered another book from the same auther, but not yet published"Reptiles of east Africa"coloured photo's,explaining venom/treatment,location etc.
regards

I found This info
Name : Hairy Bush Viper - Atheris Hispida
Size : About 60 cm
Distribution : West Africa
Habitat : Forests
Food : Frogs , lizards , small mammals
Breeding : Live-bearing
Appearance : A slender viper with extremely elongated scales that are heavily keeled and curl up at the tips , making the snake appear spiky and giving it its common name . Usually it is pale to dark green , but it may also be yellowish . There may be a number of faint , ill-defined crossbars along the back .
Notes : Dangerously Venomous
