I would like to thank whoever deleted the post from the “Venomoid Snakes on 02/7/05” forum. In my post I was only trying to be funny in a clean way, but someone had to make something dirty out of it. I would like to say it was not my fault and would like to see Anonymous posting eliminated because of what happened. This just proves that some of the members of this site, care less if it is used in a good way. Just a suggestion from one of your members, I hope that we can get such dirty nonsense stopped on here. Again, this was not me doing this, I only responded in defense of someone I love and do not understand why someone would delete my post, when I was in no way being rude to the person that responded Anonymously.....................be safe ya’ll, Wally

I removed the three posts in question.
None of them had anything to do with the thread.
Your joke would have been more appropriate for an email, but sadly it opened the little door in "Anonymous'" mind that took us way beyond the realm of this site.
I cannot ban anonymous posting but I do look pretty hard at each anonymous post and often start my day by deleting several before I even go in to work (~0600).
As I have stated over and over again, I will remove innapropriate posts and any subsequent posts that respond to the innappropriate post to make a clean excision.
That way, there is no need for your post in defense of a loved one and there is no attack on your loved one and anyone who had not seen either need not be troubled by any of it.
One last thing of note, this is an open site. Lots of people visit here one time and never come back. Lots of people post here who are in no way associated with the SHHS, even and most notably in the "Ask the Experts" section. It may not be a site member who is so disrespectful. Just some person passing through who could use a little more instruction from mommy on how to behave in public.

Karl (AKA Buzztail1), I see you will delete my post, but you allow the ones in here to stay. I have been a member of this Web Site now for about 5 months or so. I at first thought this Site might be worth the time to join and try to learn and maybe help some of the new herpers, but now I see this Site is the same as any other Hoot and Game Show. I hate to tell the truth, but I see why our hobby is going to the all mighty Dogs. Instead of starting a Web Site were people in our community can learn and teach, you have started a Game Show. The first big problem here is allowing people to post anonymously, we all know that you can post on here without people knowing who you are, without having to make yourself anonymous. If you fill out only your name (remember you don’t have to use your real name either), at least we would be able to know who is doing such un-tasteful things. I do know one thing, I am beginning to hate the way this Site is run, I believe in freedom of speech, but I do also believe in controlling you damn hormones. I will not visit this Site again until I know that someone here is going to finally see that allowing people to post anonymous helps our hobby in no way. If you are going to say something, you should be a adult and at least allow your name to be seen. I will not even attempt to ask way some of the High Ranking members of this Site persist on allowing such crape to go on. Ohhhh well, I guess im not intelligent enough to know that when you start letting people post anonymous, they will abuse it. I have learned one thing sense I’ve been a member here, members of this Site “and yes I do mean some of the more well known members “ do not see that if their little permit systems get put on the books, it will kill the small herpers ability to keep anything. Well, I at one time enjoyed the comradery of the members here, but now that we allow the anonymous screw balls to keep up their posting, we end up with another un-tasteful, unethical, nasty, and very damaging Site. I am sorry to be so blunt everyone, but I see this Site (just the same as others) going strait to the Dog House...............Be safe ya’ll, Wally

Hey Wally, just ignore what was written. Dont let some fool get the best of you. But I agree, I think the unknown post need to be deleted. I am surprised the nasty writings have stayed up as long as they have. If you read the other threads, there are several rude postings. It is not just you. Doesnt karl usually delete these posts? Bryan
