Hy all. I might be going on a herping trip to Greece on the 1st of april till the 8th of april and I was wondering if anybody could tell me how the weather might be then over there and if I would have a good chanse of finding a decent nomber of herps. Thank you.

Thanks Jeff. There are not only americans on this forum. I thought it was worth to try my luck, maybe some one who lives in southern Europe could tell me. I would apreciate it if people wouldn`t post as anonymous when they have negative comments. Cowards !

you are right alex s. not all of us are in the us. i am stationed in greece and hyave been for 7 years.i can tell you that it is wonderful in april. mid 80's and lots of rat snakes about. i have only seen a few sepentine vipers and they have all been killed by cars but they are here. good luck. walter davis

Thank you. I never thought I would get an answer. I apreciate it. I went to Greece last year but the weather was not on my side. I only found some tortoises(in Athens) and a Vipera ammodytes meridionalis and a Natrix natrix in Paralia Katerini.
