Most of my trips are usally one-day trips. I am going to Kansas for a wedding in August which I am hopeing to get in some herping while I am there. I have been thinking about doing some herping in the mountains of Virgina in the near future. I am also wanting to plan to do some good herping in SC in the spring next year.

Hey Phillip, if you ever make your way up here to the mountains of Virginia, drop me an email and we can hook up and go herp for a day. We have alot of black timbers up here in these mountain regions. Bryan

Also Phillip, I live on the Tennessee/ Virginia state line, so we could hit the Tennessee mountains also. Thats where I do the majority of my snake hunting. Bryan

I found a nice timber spot up here this week. Some guy gave me permission to his property, which is 7 thousand acres!!! He said that two days prior to our meeting he killed 15 copperheads and two rattlesnakes out there. He had proof of the snakes too. He said that he only kills them when they get too close to his house because he has a 4 year old daughter. Right beside his house is a big rock outcrop which goes on forever. He has trails that go for miles. He has tin to flip, car hoods, boards, rocks. Its a snake hunters dream. We only stayed for a few minutes and caught 1 southern copperhead and 2 intergrade southern X northern copperheads.
