Hey I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me great advice on my canebrake who wasn't eating.The hamster idea worked great man!He came right out of the box after the little guy,so all is well for now.Again thanks everybody.

If hampsters get too expensive, as the pet store if you can have some left over hampster bedding. Let your feeder mice stay on/in it for a few hrs. and it should have the same effect with a cheaper price! Glad you got him to feed.

I can relate to the pet stores being to pricie for about 2 months I was having to buy my feeders from A pet store problem being is the the only pet store in a 60 mile radius is pet smart which dont sell feeders so I had to buy fancy rats and large hamsters, every time I bought them I had to sign a contract promising to take good care of it, the store clerk asked me one time "do you have a cage for it," oh yeah I most definatly have a cage that this little guy is going in to as soon as I get home.

i hate how "feeder mice" don't get the "respect" other rodents do.......petsmart wouldn't sell any other rodent to me except feeder mice because they assumed (correctly) that i was gonna use them as food.....that really irks me

Well, I finaly got caught I was telling the clerk that I wanted that (fancy) rat and she was going on and on about how smart they are, when she asked if I own any reptles I said no and then she asked why I was buying A basking bulb and a reptiles magazine;-) oops. Huh Its for my my my turtles yeah thats it.
