I would just like to know how the Cape Cobra rates compared to other cobras. Some people say it is the most venomous cobra

Hi. The Cape Cobra(Naja nivea) is the most toxic african cobra and the most toxic african snake after the Black Mamba(Dendroaspis polylepis). From what I recall, the most toxic cobra in the world is the Monocled Cobra(Naja kaouthia). hope this helps. Best regards, Alex S.

Yip, Snake18 has it right. The Capey has the most toxic venom of the African cobras, but naja melanoleuca hits with a hell of a lot more.
I run the reptile rescue in Cape Town, and in season we can get 2-3 Cape Cobra calls a day.
Great fun!!!
One of our catchers got nailed in April, trying to pin a 1.2m capey. He was paralysed in 2 hours, in a coma for 5 days.
