I have been gone a whole ten days and come back to find that one of our friendly anonymous posters has taken it upon themselves to target the site visitors from Europe.
That is so sad.
European herpetoculturists have provided an incredible amount of information to the group as a whole on husbandry and breeding of venomous snakes from long before the current pop craze of venomous herp keeping that seems to be spreading throughout the U.S.
I would like to take this opportunity to say to our European visitors: Please don't let the words and actions of one or two cowardly individuals who are too ashamed of their own actions to use their real names distract you from the wealth of experience and information available on our site.
We are happy to have you participate here.

I read what those anonymous posters had written i never take any notice of anything anonymous posters say as they never have anything cleaver to say and replying back to them would only result in them saying somthing stupid and immature .

Kieron: I hope you will not stop posting because of the anonymous troll. If you stop posting, then he wins. This person seems to attack someone different each week. If we all ignore him, then we all win and he looses.
Hopefully, Karl and Chris and Al and the other webmasters will check the posts frequently, and take down the garbidge soon after it is posted. Perhaps they can ask a few others to help watch posts, and delete the junk quickly, especially if they will be away for days at a time. Or, worse comes to worse, eliminate anonymous posting all together from the forum. Best Regards JohnZ

Im glad to hear about your hognose. What subspecies is it? I have recently been very interested in that species. I am hoping to find one because I have never seen one in a zoo or anywhere for that matter.

I am foreign myself. I have lived in the states for 8 years now. Just ignore the hurtful things people say. If you respond to them, then it just makes these posters even happier. This site is wonderful because everyone is welcome here. Ling Ling.

i have yet to narrow this down as my local supplier has it listed as just western hognose but his tail is very long easily distinguishable from a fewmale he salivated a bit yesterday looked like he was hungry but aint settled yet to new enviroment he has hissed once and is a wonderful snake to keep but i was surprised that it was as fast as it was on the floor. my son of 3 loves him and his keeled scales make for some unusual feelings when handeling constant tounge flicking very dumpy and stocky bush viper do you know the venom delivery system is it rear fanged or does it prefer to chew and invenomate through the open wonds. best regards kieron.

There is nothing wrong with keeping Europeans as pets. It is not a personnal attack. Just a preference. You guys prefer to keep venomous snakes, I keep a breeding pair of Europeans. So, whats the big deal. My pet Europeans get walks, treats, 3 hots and a cot, there weekly shower, and Potatoe on Sundays. My pet Europeans are better in captivity because they could not survive in the wild.
