my male hognose has been very "defensive" false striking at food items and ignoring them. I have experienced most of my snakes getting a bit "stroppy" when moving them or cleaning. How long should i give him to start feeding before starting other methods? He is well built and has been a good feeder in the shop and ive had my eye on him 4 2-3 months. Ive had him for a week now he is c.b. im sure? So other info temp day 26-30 celcius night 23-4degrees humidity is constant 50% and he is fine to handle. any posts app. kieron.

Hey mate:
Give him another week or so to settle in. If he's already fat & happy, feeding may not be on his mind at the moment. I find that moving established feeders around can put them off for a while.
Cheers!

I wait at least a week to offer food, maybe even two weeks. You say he is fine to handle, best to leave it alone and let get settled in.
