I live in south Texas and last friday i was out working in a field and came across a rattlesnake. after a close inspection, i was fairly certain it was an eastern diamondback. later i was looking at a map of the distribution of eastern diamondbacks in the U.S and it says that they go as far as Louisana and are not indigenous to Tx. is that right? if so, could i have mistaken it for another species? everything about its appearence told me it was an eastern.
