I am in the process of adding more people to the Spotlight section. There is a tiny link at the bottom of it that you can click on add people yourself. You can add anyone that you think is worthy, but they may not be approved. Then again, they may. We need a small photo of them, preferrably under 100kb; then write a 2 sentence synopsis about who they are and what they've done.
Here are some of the folks that still need adding. I'm on my way to Daytona.
1. Sherman Minton
2. Karl Kauffield
3. Raymond L. Ditmars
4. Clyde Peeling
5. Bill Lamar
6. Bruce Means
7. Harry W. Greene
8. Rom Whitaker
9. XXXXXXX
10. George Van Horn
11. Rom Whitaker
12. Elda Sanchez
13. Leslie Boyer
14. Jude McNally
15. Richard Dart
16. Joseph Gennaro
17. William K. Hayes
18. John C. Perez
19. Steven A. Seifert
20. Carl Ernst
21. Manny Rubio
22. Robert Stebbins
23. David Chiszar
24. Peter H. Hartline
I appreciate any help anyone offers. This is a "community" website!

Hy Chris,
Is Mark O`Shea in the list ?
What about Steve Irwin ? I think he deserves a place in there for all his education efforts.
Also, you guys had a very good herpetologist but I forgot his name...Joseph Swalinsky or something. He died in Myanmar from a Bungarus bite. I also think he deserves a post mortem.
Best regards, Alex S.

What about Brian Grieg Fry? Certainly he has made outstanding contributions to venom research.

They are all on the list except Steve Irwin. It's hard to say he's in this community when he's ignored every email, phone call, newsletter and free t-shirt that we ever sent to him. Not to mention the fact that he is known to be vehemently anti-private keeper. Brady Barr and Mark O'Shea are definitely on the list and in this community.

Deceased person are recognized. Klauber, for instance, is already in the rotation. For some reason only Chad's picture is showing up when I come to the site though. Right now there are about 25 people in the rotation, which is supposed to change out about once an hour.

Actually, the list that Chris put up in here is of people that we still need to add.
Bill Haast and Findley Russel are both already in the rotation.

Does Dr. Barr wear his SHHS shirt? Is he part of our community? Just because Steve-o doesn't follow a particular beleif system doesn't mean that he isn't an important herpetologist. I think that the herpetology education that he does is pretty sound. How about Jeff Corwin? On a more serious not, I think that Julie A. Savage should be recognized for her work with the Boiga irregularis invasion on Guam.
