Thomas & Hortensia and the entire snake collection made it out of New Orleans ahead of the storm. Bagging the snakes was made even more exciting because he had to do it one handed. He had just had sugery on his dominant arm. He has friends who will care for his animals for as long as is needed. They probably lost their home.

My best friend lives a few minutes away but, he is from close to Biloxi,Miss. and he has been back and forth from there to here for the past year and I am pretty sure that he is down there now. The last time I talked to him, he told me that he is going back down there. I cant get in touch with him. The place he is staying(his dads house) is literally minutes from Biloxi. I took a herping trip down there last year and saw all of the 1st class houses and the casinos and souvenir stores down there. I then looked at photos of what it looks like now and It almost brings tears to my eyes. Its unbelievable. What do you think happened to the Zoo's down there.

Alex and I are fine. Thomas and Hortencia and Sylvester (canine) came to stay with me at my house during the later part of last week, going back home on Sunday. He had no water damage to his house, but lots of decaying rodents in his freezer. Alex and I in Baton Rouge had power loss for a couple of days, and a bit of wind damage to trees.
