I was just reading Dr. Gibbons' "Snakes of the Southeast". and I noticed a SHHS t-shirt on the herpetologist on p. 221. The photo credit goes to Lucas R. Wilkinson, but it doesn't mention who the herpetologist is. Anybody we know. BTW, this is an excellent book, especially from an education standpoint.

That is Xavier Glaudas. [pronounced Zahv-e-yay] He did his masters research at UGA on copperheads and cottonmouths.

Oh, and I have to agree on Gibbon's and Dorcas' new book. It really does set a new standard on "field guide" type books. I know snake book collector Karl Betz will definitely want this one.

I just got back from the Anaheim Show and didn't see the book for sale there. Guess I am going to have to order it and hope it catches up to me somewhere on deployment.
