I`m sorry, this must be realy dumn question but here it goes: can you get albino babies from normal parents ? If yes, how can you do it ? I was told that threw inbreeding.
I apoligies for the stupidity of this question.

You can get albinos by breeding two normal "looking" parents if they both carry the same defective gene for melenin. In that case, on average, 25% of the young will be albinos. Those genes are extremely rare in wild population and unless you have at least one individual in your breeding population with such a gene, inbreeding will not get you an albino (although it will might get you a few rarely expressed genetic diseases).
My guess is that this idea probably comes from multiple retellings of the fact that some people breeding for albnos (and other morphs) do a lot of inbreeding starting with a single wild caught individual having the required gene in order to have it expressed in the least number of generations. (I hope none of my old English teacher read that sentence).

Normally in nature we do see albino forms of most animals and usually from "normal" parenting but even inbreeding can happen though certainly not as much as in captives, anyway usually an albino or any light colord morph will usually get predated on thus eliminating them and there albino genes from the pool so in answer yes it is certainly possible to get an albino from two normal phase snakes but in captivity these traits are bred because they are well looked after. hope you can make sense of this regards keyz.

Alex: There is no such thing as a `stupid question`.
All of us ask questions here in hopes that others will have had some experience in the topic of the question, and be able to help us with an answer.
``The only stupid question, is the question that is not asked.``
Best Regards JohnZ

i just wanna make the point that inbreeding is VERY common in the wild amongst most animals, especially where a healthy population is involved.....one reason deer hunting is also GOOD for the deer is because they are so bad to inbreed.....i've seen deer with both sex organs, deer with horns growing from their jaws, etc.......i know a lot of people who breed for rare colors will go as far as the second generation before using another lineage.
