Has anyone else collected Eastern Diamondbacks after dark? Check out my photo taken last night. It's in the Field photos, last page. The variety of snakes here are astounding. We watched 37 snakes cross the road covering 7 specie. What a great night!

That's a nice looking Diamondback.
I have not had much luck with roadcruising on the East Coast. I have not seen an Eastern Diamondback at night.
However, my roadcruising on the West Coast has been amazing. Red Diamond Rattlesnakes are relatively common in San Diego County and I have seen quite a few of them.

Nice shots! I thought the EDB's were strictly diurnal. I guess we should say "Mostly diurnal"
Cheers!

Although it is rare, I have encountered a couple of Eastern diamondbacks at night, and know of a others who have also. Best Regards JohnZ
