I've updated what I have so far. Click "refresh" in your browser if the maps look the same as yesterday.
I think the hard part is going to be finding the louisiana, mississippi and alabama records -- GA and SC have done some extensive work on diamondbacks (Thanks to John Jensen and Steve Bennett) but the western populations don't seem to be as publicly documented.
A couple of interesting things I've found out while researching this -- According to Dean Ripa there hasn't been a diamondback found above the Santee River in South Carolina since 1980 and only about a dozen have been found in NC ever.

Re: The Cottons, that's funny. Did you know US Fish & Wildlife has captured two cottonmouths in the same creek 10 years apart... six miles south of Boulder Colorado!
