That button will lead you to a link that automatically removes $3 a month from your PayPal account. I figured maybe a few of you guys might want to pitch in and that's not a lot per person, but if enough people do it, it will help a lot. We are involved in a program right now that is going to cost quite a bit of money over the next 2 years. I can't go into details right now because it might blow the deal politically, but I'll just say it's venomous snake related and it's philanthropic. Right now I've got a plane ticket to buy.

Oh yeah, a lot of people are burning up bandwidth by "image sourcing" off of this website. What they do is host photos here, then when they want to post them on other sites, they are stored and drawn from here. Here are a few of them:

Chris,
if we don't want people hosting here and posting in other forums, it might be a good idea to remove or disable the *forum storage* album, I think that is what it was set up for...
just a thought.

create a custom gif called goaway.gif.
type this into notepad, save it as .htaccess and put it in the pics directory. it stops any other domain from pulling the image:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !goaway.gif$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?venomousreptiles.org/.*$
RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg)$ /goaway.gif [L]

I do not have a PayPal account.
Shall I start removing my pictures to host them elsewhere?
I have already removed my 5 pages of content from the Forum Storage album (I did leave the picture posting tutorial). I will get to the rest soon.

Chris,
I read this forum every night. I do the forum first then the classified. Hopefully I will be picking up a pictacaster this weekend from one of your advertisers.
The guidance I have gotten from your experianced posters has kept me out of trouble on many levels. I am gratful that you and Kingsnake are here to answer questions.
I do not have a paypal account because I only use this computer for word perfect and snake forums. But my little brother has an account because he does miniture race cars on e-bay. I'll see him tomorrow over coffee and give him $100. and tell him to sent it to you. His name is Kenny.
Whether your deal works or not, the enjoyment I have gotten from your efforts is worth far more than the money. Good luck and I hope what you are doing works out.
Watch for my contribution to come in on Fri.

a word to the wise, .... it's a great piece of coding, but it's a double edged sword... a lot of traffic comes from google image searches. you're stopping all piracy with it, but you also block google image spiders..
