if anyone is heading down to daytona for the big reptile expo (which i know more than a few of you are) maby we could schedule a meeting place so that we could get to know each other and meet some new people

SHHS members usually gather and meet at the Midwest Custom Products booth. That's where I will generally be.

I don't believe it is a matter of liability.
They had a venomous show there for the past three years. The liability wouldn't be any greater this year than any of those years.
I think that Wayne is just tired of all of the extra rules, regulations and headaches that come with adding venomous reptiles to the already largest reptile expo.
I can't really say that I blame him.
I went to all three shows that had venomous and every year there were people trying to skirt their way around the rules, juveniles sneaking into the show, vendors being bitten, display cages which were not up to F & G standards, etc, which placed his whole show at risk of being shut down.
I look forward to the venomous shows in South Carolina where I first met many of the venomous vendors.

that very well could be, i remember watching a vendor get bit a couple years ago, as soon as the snake latched on, the guy dropped the edb and it crwaled right out of the open cage, luckily theres no better place for a snake to be loose than at a convention full of reptile wranglers, he was quickly caught and it turned out to be a dry bite. the whole thing could have been alot worse, thank god it wasn't
