Jeremy...
I have been trying to obtain a pair of these snakes for over two years now without success. My questions to you and anyone else reading this post...
1) Who Is currently working with this species ??
2) Does anyone have, or expect to have, a CB 1.1 up for sale in the near future ?
3) In your experience, what are the requirements for successful captive breeding ?
Thanking everyone in advance...Marty

I have been out of the loop for so long that Im not sure if I can give you up to date info. I will however try my best.
As for who is currently working with them, Diamond breeder reptiles seemed atleast a few yrs back to be tyhe most reliable soruce. He had a clutch every year though the babies were somehwat pricey. I also had good luck going to shows and obtaining atleast infuscatus. lubricus were always quick to sell so it was all luck and if I got there before the other 50 people in show did.
As fpor breeding they were easy yet hard. Simulateing breeding was easy. I cooled them down to the mid 60s from Nov-Feb, brought them up for 2 weeks, got a feed or two in them then put them together and misted everyother day to stimulate the monsoons for about 2 weeks. The female would ovulate with ease but only once did the make actualy fertilized any of the eggs and in that case I only got two neonates.
Unfortunately I couldnt see any differences between the yrs I got skunked and the one time I got babies. I did everything the same. If I had to suggest anything I would maybe try to cool the males down into the 50s and maybe a week longer then the females just to see if that helps.
We very craefull when buying babies. Though most infiscatus are easly to tell some look very lubricus like as neonates. I had one male which I did buy as infuscatus which looked Lub all the way. He later grew, dulled up a bit, lost distinction in his bands and only realy had the head pattern of a lubricus. He was still my favorite Aspidelaps I ever had however.
So anyways, thats all I can remember off the top of my head. When time permits I will write up alittle sheet with my finding on Aspidelaps as a whole. Work has been less then forgiving in regards to free tme as of late ; ;
Take care and I hope this helps. Tryi contacting Diamond breeders and see what their out look is.
All the best,
Jeremy

Jeremy...thanks for the info...it seems as though I may have to travel to Africa to obtain any, however, I will not give up.
When you write your paper, put me on the list for readership. Many thanks again...Marty
