Hi all,
I am a venomous fan and admirer. I work as the CFO of the Decatur County Board of Education in Bainbridge, GA. My goal is to educate the young people in my county that conservation of all snakes including the venomous ones are crucial to our eco system. Climax, GA is only 6 miles from here – home of one of the last rattlesnake round-ups in Georgia. Teaching the grown folks is almost a lost cause. I am also an amateur taxidermist and want to prepare a complete skeleton of a rattlesnake to use in my educational presentations. I am looking for someone to donate a capitive-decline rattlesnake for this purpose - one with no damage to the bone structure (can even be skinned and gutted as long as no bone damage). Prefer one at at least 3.5 feet long or longer. I prefer an Eastern Diamondback since this is the most common rattlesnake here, but will take any rattlesnake. If I get more than one donation I will make skeletons for each of my individual schools to publicly display. I will gladly pay shipping charges if needed.
Best regards,
Tim Matthews
