Mike, congratulations on the new animals. I know you will have fun keeping them, and learn new things from observing their behavior.
Best Regards JohnZ

No i have not hatched eggs yet. I had a pair of blakc rouchneck monitors that had eggs but the incubator that i made didnt work. I can get an incubator any time i need one. My buddy makes them. I hope to breed them soon. im picking them up next saterday at the reptile show. The produced a few hypos, one in the last clutch a couple months ago. I have a big cage with sliding glass doors, a fogger and a realy cool natural habitat ready for them. (False water cobras) Any more help on breeding them would be cool also, if anyone can give advice. Will they just lay there eggs in the tank or do i have to take her out. Im putting cypress mulch in with them.
Thanks
Mike

I would not recommend leaving eggs in with any snake. If you have access to an incubator, great. Set it up so the temp is about 85 & you have plenty of humidity. If anything happens & you need to build your own, let me know. I can tell you how to build one that works for less than $25. Are the females gravid now? If you have the cage space, I'd recommend caging them one to a cage. Feeding three in one cage could get to be more excitement than you want.
False waters are the most insane feeders I have ever seen.

I no not to keep the eggs in the cage with them. If you would please let me no how to make that incubator, that would help me so much. thanks for the help.

Here you go: What you need:
One Styrofoam cooler with lid (I used a bait bucket size)
Enough 1/4" mesh hardware cloth to cover the top.
One aquarium heater.
One aquarium thermometer.
Cut & shape the hardware cloth so that it fits inside the cooler/bucket leaving enough room for the lid to fit over it. Leave room for the eggs also.
Cut the hardware cloth & the lid so that the heater will fit through, or at least the cord for it, if there's no trouble removing the hardware cloth.
You may need to wrap a little extra hardware cloth around the heater to keep it from melting the styrofoam.
Fill the cooler/bucket with water up to a couple of inches below the hardware cloth.
Put the heater in. Put the thermometer, with a piece of string tied to it in, then the hardware cloth. Place the eggs on top of the hardware cloth. You might put paper towels on the cloth first, but it's not really necessary.
Put the lid on the cooler/bucket & make sure you have it somewhat secure.
BEFORE putting the eggs in, turn the heater on & get the water temp up to what you want..around 85. This may take several hours & you may have to fiddle with the heater setting to get it right. The string on the thermometer allows you to lift it to make it readable if necessary. Make sure the temperature stays at the desired level for a couple of hours before you put the eggs in. Bottom line, you will want to set this up before the eggs are laid. You may need to add water periodically during the incubation period. Take the lid off every day to check the eggs & allow fresh air in.
This system supplies the right temperature & 100% humidity. I have hatched several clutches of Hydrodynastes with it, as well as Micrurus, Coluber, & Chrysemys. Go ahead & ask about the Coluber...when you find snake eggs in the wild & aren't sure who laid them, the only way to find out is to hatch 'em.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions.
