So my good friend gave me her rhino viper and a few other venomous snakes...Well when i first got the rhino it was a blue phase but yesterday when i had him soaking he now looks like a red phase...Hes not getting ready to shed i know that because he shed the day i got him and its only been 2 weeks...Is it possible that their able to control there colors??? it might sound stupid but i dunno what else to think...

Shayne, I am sure you have heard about the Kapuas Mud Snake that has the ability to radically change color.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13570772/
Many years ago when I was keeping Rhino Vipers, I can recall seeing what might be described as a very slight color change in the animals at times, from darker to lighter. I attributed this to the animals being slightly hotter or slightly cooler day to day. It was in no way a change from blue to red though.
I assume that the lighting was the same each time you compared the snake, if so you can eliminate that as a variable. But temperature change is a different factor, especially if you soaked the animal, and moved it from one location to another.
You really need to document the colors accuratly with color photos. Just make sure all the camera settings are identical, and the time of day is the same, as the light color from the sun changes color temperature throughout the day. You should record the temperature of the snake at that time also.
See: http://www.venomousreptiles.org/forums/Experts/25434
which is about a laser temperature gun that will allow you to take the animals temperature from a distance.
Keep good records and let us know if you are able to document the color change with good clear photos.
Best Regards JohnZ

Do you have him on reptibark or another thing like that? When mine soaks then crawls through the bedding he gets all muddy red and it wont go away until he sheds.
Just a thought.
