Hey guys,
No cycling on this pair. I have not witnessed clear copulating. I have witnessed the male attempting...however any sight of me sets them off. After several attempts, the female went off food. She appears a bit swollen, but I do not feel much of anything (though I have never been good at that).
She just shed today, and still refuses food.
Think I should be planning for eggs?

Of course, the freezer might be a better place for the eggs....there are so many available that I have a hard time believing that we have enough suitable homes for them considering their aggressive and high strung tendencies (I say this only half jokingly)....I'd just follow Greg's advice and have a nest box ready to go.

Rob...not entirely sure how to respond to that, but I'll take the half joking part.
Anyway, if this shed was relative, how long should I be waiting (approx) for eggs?

The more people who can get exotic snakes to lay eggs and get them to hatch into healthy babies the better. I wonder who the 'we' is that would be placing them somewhere? Sounds like one of those cat adoption things. :P Would you like the American Shorthair Cobra or the Russian Blue Boomslang? Norwegian Forest Krait or Abyssinian Coral Snake? Havana Brown Mamba or Persian Rattlesnake? Oh no, designer venomous snakes! :D
Anyway, I hope you get eggs that you are prepared for and that you get 100% hatch out in the proportions of male:female that you want and they go on to establish a line of Black Paks that put everyone else's to shame. It would be nice if they were freeze-resistant too. ;þ
