did a certain member get busted in a certain state and is now posting ads for people to sell him/her MORE venomous snakes? was this member exhonerated somehow? if this member is indeed the one who was busted for numerous infractions, is it in HIS best interest to stock up? doesn't he realize that he's kind of on the "list" and that this wouldn't be wise.
certain member = rabbitsmcgates
what everyone does is obviously their business, but i thought this guy had basically admitted to getting busted but is now posting want ads for hots.

I too saw his ads and they struck me as odd....considering the vehement response here to the story and potential backlash about his being bitten by a mamba and whatnot. Maybe people have just chosen to ignore him?

I don’t know who rabbitmcgates (one s) was, nor do I know who rabbitmcgatess (two s’s) is. What I do know is enough is enough. The original Rabbit was, in essence, accused of being a 47-year old man who was bitten by his illegally kept mamba. The circumstantial evidence seemed overwhelming and the accusations and recriminations flew like confetti. Yet there was no proof or resolution to my knowledge. In retrospect the original accusation, without confirmation, on a public forum may have been unfair. I will never know, nor do I care to!
There were a bunch of things that didn’t make sense about the whole affair. The responses by Rabbit where often hysterical, disjointed and petulant. Seemingly unlike what one would expect from a 47-year old. In the past there was a member of this site that apologized for some inappropriate posts, saying that they had actually been done by his son. Not knowing what is really going on is a by-product inherent in the anonymity of the web. The truth is that most of us have no clue as to what was really going on with the original incarnation of Rabbit. Our best option was to ignore the person using that moniker.
Now, what appears to be the same person has returned with a slightly altered screen name. Is it the same person? I don’t know. The new Rabbitmcgatess (two s’s) has made some concise, relevant and valuable contributions to posts under this new identity. Should we forget the past and go for a group hug? Again, I don’t know! That is a personal call for each member to make.
I have faith in the people that run this site. Over the years they have maintained a high level of academic freedom and still prevented the site from falling into anarchy. To be fair, the contributing members are a large part of that success. But it is the Webmaster and the other principals who have their finger on the pulse of this forum, and I trust them to respond appropriately, using their more intimate and pervasive knowledge of any given situation. The people who run this site are committed to the cause. In light of the consequences this hobby is facing I trust them to monitor the site frequently and do what is best.

By the way the reason he wasnt charged with animal cruelty is because indiana law exempts reptiles from there cruelty laws, if he is indeed trying to buy more snakes hopefully no one will sell to him. The ones he had where so pathetic they couldnt even give a decent bite.

who ever he is he is just real immature. Thats just my opinion. You can tell by his pics also. in his profile and in the ad he just posted. "Arrest white babies"

Unbelievable, some people are very bold. Who ever he is he has some big balls to come back with even a remotely familliar name. Wow, and the new ad is insane. Indiana DNR is probably stalking him. Sellers Beware!

Okay, he's been blacklisted, but I'm sure he'll be back under another login name. So just alert me to new posts and we'll "play the game". Unfortunately, dealing with people like him is just a part of being on the internet.
