Collin, when I worked as a reptile keeper at the Atlanta Zoo in the late 70's, we had an very large Okinawa Habu on display.
It was a great looking animal, and lived in a heavily planted cage in the amphibian section of the reptile building. It was kept at much cooler temperatures than most of the other snakes.
I believe it was on display for over 25 years, and I am not sure if it was replaced when it finally died.
I seem to also recall the Houston Zoo also having a Habu on display back in the 80's.
Best Regards JohnZ
