My wife found a small snake hiding under our doggy bed in our back yard. We live on hill in Tujunga, CA. She was not able to get a picture of it, but from her description, it sounds like a ringneck. Does anybody have any info on this species? Its venom composition would be interesting?

Kevin, take a look at this site and see if they show a photo of the snake you found:

As far as Ringneck Snake venom being interesting, perhaps to the lizard or salamander that it is feeding on ?
Hope this helps.
