There are snake removal companies out there. Even a critter removal company can remove snakes safely. So many options... Is this how they train officers to remove snakes in Oklahoma? Shoot at them? Remind me not to Jay-walk in Oklahoma.

Be aware that Noble is a small, rural town south of OKC, probably with "Gomer and Goober" hiring standards. Be careful of making generalized statements about a whole state on the basis of one tiny slice. It's like the old joke about one guy meeting another and learning he is from (pick your state) and saying "Only thing comes from that state are whores and football players," to which the other man says, "My wife is from there!" So he replies, "What position did she play?" As a matter of fact, John, the state bureau of investigation and the DA are investigating and I would not be surprised to see manslaughter or negligent homicide charges and termination both in the next few days.
This forum consistently carries sad stories about idiots from this or that state killing snakes, etc. That doesn't mean everyone from that state is a doofus. The last two posts here are not very well informed or thought out, guys.
