Talbots Kids Sponsors Design-A-Tee Contest Benefiting The Humane Society of the United States
Children Ages 4-12 Invited to Submit Animal-Themed Designs Starting September 3rd through October 3rd
HINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Calling all future fashion designers, animal lovers and young creative minds everywhere. Talbots Kids has launched its first Design-A-Tee contest for children. Starting September 3rd through October 3rd, children ages 4-12 are invited to submit original designs depicting their favorite animals. Talbots Kids will select 10 finalists, and the winner will be chosen by public vote. The winning design will be produced on a classic tee supporting a classic cause – the protection of animals. This limited-edition tee will be sold in Talbots Kids stores with 10% of each sale benefiting The Humane Society of the United States.
A panel of Talbots Kids “experts” representing its stores, product development and design, merchandising, creative and marketing teams will select the 10 finalists. From November 5th through November 28th, the public can view designs and obtain a voting ballot in any Talbots Kids store or by printing a ballot from www.talbots.com. Actual votes must be cast in Talbots Kids stores or via mail. Their top choice will be revealed at the end of December and sold starting in March as a limited-edition tee in all Talbots Kids stores nationwide for $20.
Each of the nine finalists will receive a $250 Talbots Kids shopping spree and an ultimate sketching and drawing gift set. The winner will receive a $1,000 Talbots Kids shopping spree and an ultimate sketching and drawing gift set. Kids interested in entering the Design-A-Tee contest can obtain an entry form at any Talbots Kids store or by visiting talbots.com and clicking on the Talbots Kids page. Entries must include a completed entry form and an original animal-themed design. Designs must be a maximum of six colors and no larger than 8 ½” X 11” in size. No photography will be accepted. Entries can be dropped off at any Talbots Kids store or mailed to Talbots Kids, One Talbots Drive, Hingham, MA, 02043 (Att: Design-A-Tee). All entries must be received by October 3, 2007.

The HSUS does not support the keeping of venomous or non-venomous reptiles. I would not support ANY HSUS project. My .02 cents
