Veterinarian Kim K. Haddad who is with The Captive Wild Animal Protection Coalition (CWAPC) is also tight with API, both groups are in CA.
I met Kim and HSUS wildlife ‘expert” Richard Farinato at convention years ago and decided to talk to them to see if there was a way to educate them and find a common ground. After 30 minutes of explaining how responsible I was and how my tiger has a 10,000 square feet habitat, etc…I was getting nowhere, then it finally hit me, even if my tiger cage was size of Texas, AR still would not like it, because it is still cag/captivity and not ‘wild’. It became very clear in that face to face conversation there is no common ground between extreme AR and us, since they see captivity as abuse and to extreme AR , they rather see them extinct than saved in captivity.
So they do anything, any little incident of false animal sighting, etc to make the ‘accident’ list longer.
I guess I ‘know’ my enemy.
