Does anyone know if it has been shown whether the members of the Agkistrodon complex in the Americas are representative of a single common ancestor that migrated and speciated after arriving here or whether it is the result of several waves of migration or at least several lineages migrating at once?
Ancestry and divergence are what I'm interested in with this.
