I just wanted everyone to know that I sold several squams to Al Cortiz eariler this month from my previous Congo shipment. I sent the animals without payment and Al sent the money just as promised. I would not be afraid to do business with him again.
Thanks

I have never had any business dealings with Al, but I have met him at a herp show & had lunch with him. I am not at all surprised that your dealings with him turned out well.

I'm a bit baffeled? Hopefully all the snakes are alright, as he has said otherwise. Maybe he just forgot about the animals I sent him only a few weeks ago?

I guess it just has to be played out here.
Just how many people do you owe money or snakes to, Justyn?
I started checking when "madatintenseherp" started posting in the ads and what I have been finding is not very flattering.
At first I felt that I was being dragged into a personal squabble that the two of you needed to settle somewhere other than our classifieds.
Now I see this post and it seems like you are trying to come off as an injured party who has never done any wrong.
So are all those people at BOI lying?
My question remains:
Just how many people do you owe money or snakes to Justyn?
It seems to me that squaring your dealings with all those people is what you are going to have to do to be considered a fair and decent dealer.

It seems as though he has been making efforts. He has been back in the market and his ads do offer c.o.d.'s. This would suggest that he is putting the faith in people that he is obviously trying to earn back. Only time will tell, and it will tell shortly I'm sure.

Karl,
I am doing my best to square up with those I owe money and/or snakes too. I have NEVER tried to hide this fact. As for the BOI, a good few of those people are fake and I have never dealt with, half have never done business with me, and those that got the raw end of the deal I am trying to take care of. The problem is I employ myself and thus it has been difficult to take care of those debts when I have had troubles bringing in the animals, and selling those I have. As for the post my the individual you mentioned, I never dealt with him. He has told numorus lies about me in an effort to make me look even worse (which is not needed, I screwed up enough). On top of that he illegally keeps venomous snakes, or at least did not too long ago.
I made my mistakes, I admit them. When I am able to, I will correct them in any way I can. I have already corrected a few of them and I am working on more. I have been in business for MANY years and I have ALWAYS had glowing reviews until eariler this year when several issues came up and it just snowballed into one gigantic mess. Does it really look like I made it a goal to be a con-artist all of a sudden, or someone who got in over their head and made some mistakes? Are you ready to jump on the bandwagon too?
As for Al, our deal went well, he was happy. Now he is angry about being scammed from an African exporter I have nothing to do with and he is going around saying I'm a theif but won't express HIS VERY RECENT expereinces with me. I find that wrong, he is like all the others only telling half of the story, the bad half. Funny enough, the half he has never dealt with. How could that be right? If I was such a theif, why did he do business with me? He warning others not to do business with me, yet he did and was very happy with the results. Doesn't it seem like he is hiding something from his posts?

Justyn:
You started this thread - you obviously want it to go somewhere.
I asked you one specific question.
In case you didn't recognise it, I AM giving you the benefit of the doubt. The thread is still here and you are getting to make your case. I am not jumping on any bandwagon - I am managing this website. You want to keep posting ads here.
I ask again -
How many people do you owe money or snakes to?
I am trying to figure out how to resolve this situation fairly. You can help or not - up to you.

Well, I am not sure how to answer that. Some I owe snakes too, some I have agreed to send a some sort of montary refund. I would say a total of about 5-6 people left (that I owe something to) without looking in my files. I was about 13 people when this started, so it's coming down.
As for this thread, it was ment more for my business dealings with Al and how he said he was a theif, yet he purchased animals from me knowing the exact same info and he didn't get burned. Why would he deal with (and was happy with the outcome) yet warn everyone else about dealing with me? Something seems a bit strange ont hat, don't you think?

Just for the record. I do not think Al is bad guy. He did everything he said he was in rgeards to payment.
What upsets me is he pulls my ads, then he posts a forum notice saying I am a "known scammer who takes your money but you never get the animals."
He was aware of everything prior to us doing business. I told him I would be willing to ship the animals first as I trusted him. He got EXACTLY what I said I would send, perfect packaging, everything. He tells me he would be intereste din animals from me in the future as the deal went well.
Fast forward a few weeks and he contacts me saying he got ripped off my an exporter I use. I offered to contact the exporters and see if I could get his money back or snakes in place of it from the exporter. Then Al e-mails me demanding it is my job to get his e-mail back otherwise he'll put the FBI on me, ban my exporter from sending shipments ot the USA (and thus I could no longer import from him), says he put "legal dynamite against me and my company", etc if I refuse to help him. Mentions I'm in no place for bad press in the community due to my problems on Fauna.
He is trying to use me to get his stolen money back because I'm in a tight spot, and if I don't he'll destroy me, basically.
At this point I tell Al that I no longer will be involved with this (since Al has threatened me) and to please stop contacting me about it. That was the last I talked to Al before he put up the scammer message under notices on the classifieds. He is starting to do exactly what he said he would. He is attacking my name and business because I refuse to be involved in his affairs (which I had no knowledge of until he contacted me).
So, yes I've had problems with orders eariler this year, yes I am trying to take care of them (if even for the simple fact that it is difficult to do business with that cloud hovering above me). Al is not posting these notices on the classifieds because he thinks I am a threat to anyone, he is posting them to get back at me for not taking care of HIS problem.
