This is a post that is relevant to the Africa issue of weeks past. This is more of a statement than a question. My name is David Lamfrom. I was recently chose to represent a group named Global Vision International as a volunteer Herp intern. My duties will include capture and tagging of South African serpents. The cost of the program is 3800 dollars plus airfare, and includes 3 months of room and board, as well as intra-national travel to and fro study sites. It is a great opportunity, although quite pricy. It would be an excellent opportunity for aspiring herpetologists with education, but without formal field work background. I am trying to ascertain help by getting funding from herp socieites, but i has been slow in coming. Its tough now, especially with the slow economy. Feel free to email me if you want to comment or ask me about it. dshante12@aol.com. Have a wonderful day.
