James Bear - Snake Bite
Jan 27th, 2008, 1:05pm In case any of you happen to know James Bear of Deming, New Mexico (Southwest Serpentarium), I just got word from a mutual friend this afternoon that James was bitten by a Timber/Canebreak Rattlesnake apparently while feeding it last Thursday. This was his third bite. He is in Intensive Care at an El Paso, Tx. hospital on Life Support. He is not expected to survive.
I just wanted to pass this along in case anyone else here knows him. He has provided SWCHS with a number of Crotalus and habitat images during the past month or two. Please keep James in your prayers and thoughts.
