Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore for Fraud
Friday , March 14, 2008
The founder of the Weather Channel wants to sue Al Gore for fraud, hoping a legal debate will settle the global-warming debate once and for all.
John Coleman, who founded the cable network in 1982, suggests suing for fraud proponents of global warming, including Al Gore, and companies that sell carbon credits.
"Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question," Coleman said.
"Since we can't get a debate, I thought perhaps if we had a legal challenge and went into a court of law, where it was our scientists and their scientists, and all the legal proceedings with the discovery and all their documents from both sides and scientific testimony from both sides, we could finally get a good solid debate on the issue," Coleman said. "I'm confident that the advocates of 'no significant effect from carbon dioxide' would win the case."

Coleman says his side of the global-warming debate is being buried in mainstream media circles.
"As you look at the atmosphere over the last 25 years, there's been perhaps a degree of warming, perhaps probably a whole lot less than that, and the last year has been so cold that that's been erased," he said.
"I think if we continue the cooling trend a couple of more years, the general public will at last begin to realize that they've been scammed on this global-warming thing."

Coleman spoke to FOXNews.com after his appearance last week at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change in New York, where he called global warming a scam and lambasted the cable network he helped create.
"You want to tune to the Weather Channel and have them tell you how to live your life?" Coleman said. "Come on."
He laments the network's decision to focus on traffic and lifestyle reports over the weather.
"It's very clear that they don't realize that weather is the most significant impact in every human being's daily life, and good, solid, up-to-the-minute weather information and meaningful forecasts presented in such a way that people find them understandable and enjoyable can have a significant impact," he said.
"The more you cloud that up with other baloney, the weaker the product," he said.
Coleman has long been a skeptic of global warming, and carbon dioxide is the linchpin to his argument.
"Does carbon dioxide cause a warming of the atmosphere? The proponents of global warming pin their whole piece on that," he said.
The compound carbon dioxide makes up only 38 out of every 100,000 particles in the atmosphere, he said.
"That's about twice as what there were in the atmosphere in the time we started burning fossil fuels, so it's gone up, but it's still a tiny compound," Coleman said. "So how can that tiny trace compound have such a significant effect on temperature?
"My position is it can't," he continued. "It doesn't, and the whole case for global warming is based on a fallacy."

I sure hope John Coleman is able to use the court system to show people just what a fraud this global warming nonsense is.
It would be quite amusing to see Al Gore drug up before the supreme court. Perhaps that would be the final stake through that clowns heart, and he would crawl back under whatever rock he came out from under in the first place.

I hope he would have to give back the money, however it probably will not happen. The followers of algore will continue to follow and support him.
Unfortunatly, things like the Nobel Prize, the Oscars, and Music Awards have been corrupted to the point that they are meaningless. Anyone who would award a scum bucket like Jimmy Carter or algore a Nobel prize, has long ago lost any sense of fairness or actual recognition for legitimate work that folks do. And all of the music awards feature this hippy hop and rap trash. Folks creating real music do not get recognized.
One of the fun stories about algore back when he was VP and visiting Texas, was when a sharp reporter asked him about what he was going to do to save the Texas Eagle. Gore launched into a speach about how the eagles should be protected from extinction, and how he was going to have the USFWS help protect the Texas Eagle. Well, it turns out that the Texas Eagle was an old steam locomotive that the local folks wanted to keep in service. So much for mr enviornmentalist algore.

This reminds of o scene from one of my favorite older movies called TOP SECRET, done by the same group like AIRPLANE movies, but ended up being flop because many Americans didn’t get it.
It is set in Eastern Europe in former East Germany, and I saw the movie shortly after I moved to USA as a political refugee from former communist Czechoslovakia.
The main hero, an American singer visiting E. Germany, ends up meeting this American girl living in E. Germany and she explains to him that her father is an American scientist, now in East German prison building some magnet for the government that would attract submarines from miles away, but the REAL reason he ended up in E, Germany was he escaped USA in a balloon during Jimmy Carter presidency.

Gore was asked "Yet, your administration is killing our Texas Eagle. This makes us sick. What can you do to save our Eagle instead of spending so much money to keep yourselves in a paid position?"
Gore`s Reply:
"Thank you for your letter regarding the protection of the Texas eagle. I appreciate hearing from you.
I share your view that the urgent problem of species extinction and the conservation of biological diversity should be addressed. The first step in saving any plant or animal from extinction is to become aware of and respect the fragile ecosystems that make up our environment. I believe that the treatment of all living things is a reflection of the true compassion and maturity of a society.
All animals and plants help make our natural surroundings more diverse and should be protected to ensure the preservation of a healthy environment. Please be assured that the President and I will be working to protect all endangered and threatened wildlife and plants."
LOL !

I don't claim to know for sure whether global warming is as serious a problem as they say.
I am not a meteorologist.
I AM a computer programmer who has occasionally written programs to simulate simple physical systems, which predicably differ exponentially from reality over time if there is any tiny error or oversight in the simulation.
I hear at least every few months of some new factor that they just realized they were not accounting for in the weather simulations.
Weather is almost certainly, by far, the single most complex concept mankind has ever taken a WAG at simulating.
Therefore, anyone who claims to be able to predict the weather 100 YEARS in advance is either dishonest or an idiot.
I do not believe Al Gore is an idiot.

Oh, and yes, carbon credits are somewhere between fraud and fantasy. Probably closer to fraud.
