An Albino King Cobra would be like the holy grail to a lot of venomous snake keepers.
There was supposedly a Albino-like King Cobra found a few years ago in Malaysia at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in Puchong, Selangor. The snake apparently spent several days coiled around the Amman Statue, which caused many thousands of people to visit the site. Their religion considers the snake to be a God like creature.
The snake was supposedly removed to the Perlis Snake Park. What is funny is that I can not find any photos of the snake on the web. You would think that there would be at least one photo of a snake that attracted so much attention.
On a side note, it probably will not be long before our friend Wolfgang Wuster does a major overhaul of the King Cobras. They range over a huge area, and have many different patterns and colorations. It is likely that the populations will be split up into several different Species. This should provide some very interesting changes concerning these magnificant snakes.
