"Trooper was not there to support venomous keepers.
That is fine though, he at least supported keeping constrictors. "
This is the only point I'm arguing John. He did show up and suggest further research. He showed regulations that work, he gave suggestions on regulations...antivenom access, insurance etc.
By saying that most people shouldn't own venomous snakes also suggests that he supports the fact that there are some who should...those that are responsible etc.. This suggests regulation and not ban... boas and pythons had nothing to do with it, they were just part of a larger statement.
I'm not sure why that is not clear? You know I like and respect you too John, I'm just confused that after watching that video you think he was there to only support boas and pythons when that was only half of one sentence that he spoke. The rest of his two minutes was in support of regulating venomous snake keeping rather than banning them..?
Anyway, it's really just differing points of view I guess. I just simply didn't see anything but positive in his presence. Others see differently I guess, thats what makes the world go round.
Z- I have actually gained quite a bit of respect for you over the last several threads we've had.. I don't feel we are fighting..?
I don't have to agree with some of your ways or thoughts. that doesn't make them wrong, nor mine.
Though I would be more than happy to meet in person over vodka and work through our tensions... :) bring the bikini too! :)

I agree, maybe I need to rephrase my personal opinion/view of Walsh’s testimony, keep it short and simple: “His testimony didn’t live up to my expectations. “
To explain, if your wife/girlfriend is supporting your herp hobby and you are hoping (high or reasonable expectation?) she will buy you a spitting cobra for your wedding anniversary. You open the box and there is a tiny cute garter snake, well, hey, she is still supporting your snake hobby, she got you a snake after all, but honestly, for how long could you fake it you are enjoying het garter?:-)

Well, you will have to talk to Al Gore about that, we had day NV temperatures in 50s and low 60s lately, COLD, where is the global warming and hot NV summer? So, if there are no bikini videos, blame Al Gore.;-)

Well Terri, it warmed up enough lately to wear bikini when training tiger and lion, so we took some bikini/cats footage, but that would be totally and grossly off topic here.
Gore still didn’t send weather to NV warm enough for snakes to come out of the holes after that global cooling we had here.
So if not this year, maybe we can do bikini/snake video next year, if Gore cooperates;-)
