Unidentifed snake

I found a picture of a snake and from what a friend of mine said was "it looks like an constrictor" and I was wondering if you could be of any help of identify this snake for me please.

Christopher, if you go to the Photo Album here, we have a section called "Snakes For Identification."
You can upload the photo there so that we can take a look at it. It will not appear in the album until a site manager approves the photo, so let us know here that you have uploaded the photo, and we will approve it.
Or, you could just upload the photo to your Profile here, and it will appear immediatly.
Or, you could upload the photo to an online site like PhotoBucket, and then post the link here so that folks can see the photo.
Try to provide as much info along with the photos as possible, like where the snake was found.

That is a Jungle Python. Morelia spilota sp. Native to Australia. Adults reach about 7 feet or so. Fairly popular in the pet trade.

The blueish tint is more likely form lighting, and maybe its about to shed. Mine is black and white/yellow/gold.And they can get longer that 7 ft. Mine is over 10. Marty
