Only thing I can say is if you google that telephone # in listing, it links to about 5 internet sites claiming fraud from DTS Herps. Here are a few of those links.

A few months ago I waent to the Hamburg show. There was a pair of baby Inland Taipans there. I wanted to buy them. But a friend(AL) talked some sense into me. But they were ok looking. Same guy had some baby kings and some 8 foot kings. I thought they were from Ricky and Ray in Florida though. Not 100%.....

Gary:
They were PNG Taipans NOT Inland Taipans, perhaps worse because there are many fatalities on record by the PNG species.

Jahon & Charles:
1) Yes, the ad is for real.
2) If you search for me on the "Fauna Classified" you will also find some information that is bogus. The "fauna classifieds" is the "Jerry Springer Show" of the herp community. The website owners are only interested in the revenue that is generated by scandal. The more "hits" the more advertising $ they get. If they wanted to be a true investigatory website they would allow only factual information that can be proven. Instead they look other way when libilous information is posted about someone.
3) I know Dan for quite sometime and have done business with him on may occassions, all of which were done without any problems. I cannot talk specifically about the mentioned threads on BOI because I have not the time to read (filter through) all of the crap.

I will second that. While I was unwilling to mention this first because I know nothing about the snakes in the ad, dealing with Dan has always been a pleasure. The animals I have received from him are healthy, accurately represented, and robust.

I knew if Dan was advertising them, it had to actually be legit this time - as opposed to a certain, uh, 'global herper' a few yeas ago.
I'm really curious about the background information. I assume they came from Europe, or at least were filtered through there? I would e-mail Dan myself and ask, but as I have no intention of buying them ($9k/pr...ouch), I'd just be wasting his time.
Kinda neat to see species like that popping up here in the US. Now bring on the tigers and red-bellied blacks!

"people can price them for what ever they want they should go for about 2500.00"
Don't you think it's kind of hypocritical to say people should be able to price them however they want, then go on to say what they *should* be priced?
Maybe snakes as lethally venomous as inland taipans should be $10k each. And besides, who else has them available? It'd be like having a leucy timber. If you're the only one with the product available, you set the market.
