Z- NCARK got reptiles removed from that bill and then killed the entire thing!!! I don't know what else you want. We have discredited API in NC to the point they can't pass gas in this state... not only that but the press generated here can be used against API in every state. We are a reptile advocacy that kicked ass for the entire exotic community. I suggest other animal interests model what we have done. Alliances between strong animal interest groups is the way to success. Petty bickering is not productive. The TOTAL victory in NC by NCARK serves as a model for the entire country. USARK is poised to become the most powerful exotic animal advocacy in the US. Celebrate our success!!

Andrew, when I wrote that nobody should compromise, and we all should still together, I was speaking generally.
Too often certain groups or certain animals get exempt and teh exempt people stop caring.
It used to be with the older bills that only pet people were banned and USDA holders got exempt, and USDA people were happy to use pet owners as scapegoats even though statistics with big cats proved majority of incidents happen in USDA places.
If USDA folks years ago fought harder for big cat pet owners (aka often their customers for their breeding), we would have fewer bans now and more people to fight with us.
Now it is going in the direction that only AZA and AR sanctuaries get exempt.
AR got very good at dividing us and turning commercial versus non commercial owners, species against different species owners, against each other.

Andrew, could I see the bylaws, constitution and position statement of USARK? I can not see them online, maybe I am just blind, have been busy and mostly offline lately, just skimming thru emails fast.
One of our national exotic cat orgs is going thru elections and cat fights as we speak; bylaws and rules about them, as well as election procedure, being some of the sore points.:(
Time is wasted on fighting fellow owners instead of the real enemy.:(
If USARKs r not online yet, please send them to me privately.
Thanks
Z
