I'm amazed that there was no mention of it anywhere, but then again, the list of famous people that have died would overwhelm us if we dwelled on it.

I've seen that pop up in a few places on the internet. Mostly just sibtle tributes. I tend to not tributize celebrities, as my mojo always works against me. I named a chameleon Elvis in tribute to one of my favorite musicians (that Elvis Presley for you youngns). That blasted chameleon died suddenly, no kidding, on the anniversary of the real Elvis' death. Creepy.

Steve Irwin will always be loved and his work will continue if it is not to much to ask can everyone say a little prayer for him and his family they deserve it so much Steve's work and memory needs to stay alive always thank you so much for reminding people of this

steve was an is always goingt o be still so verry loved. I can't help it every time i sit backin my reptile room an watch any of my snakes hear him in the back of my head espiclay when onesin a bad mood "By Krikey! look at that shela! Aint she a beaut!" XD

It was weird
I was in Port Douglas on his anniversary (the place that he left out of and where his body came back to shortly after his death) and had lunch with two people that were on the boat when he died (a researcher and a cameraman). The Australian papers had some stuff about it, but it was really not as big as you would think. Short memories indeed
Love him or hate him, he changed the "snake world"
